The 2006 X Factor finalist Ray Quinn will be performing at The St George Theatre, Great Yarmouth, on Friday October 23 and he is on the look out for local musicians to join him. The chosen musician or band will be added to the bill on the night of the event, which takes place as part of Mr Quinn’s Dare to Dream Tour, and will give them a chance on the spotlight to promote themselves alongside the singer. The X Factor runner-up will be putting on a fantastic show on the night with a mixture of previous jazz and swing, along with some brand new material to create a mix of music. Other venues on the tour have been sold out, meaning that the lucky artists who get to perform will be performing to a good size crowd. Speaking ahead of the tour, Mr Quinn said: “To be taking my love for music out on the road again, I’m very excited. I’m right at home when I am singing live on stage so it will be as much as a treat for me as it will my fans. This is my passion and I cannot wait!

“After the success of my first album I’ve had time to grow as an artist. I’m now doing songs that I’m writing from my experiences and through maturity in the industry. Alongside a great team of producers and writers, I’m helping to produce the music I want - taking myself towards a new direction, creating songs that move people and reaching out to a wider demographic.” Since finishing as a runner-up on the X Factor, the 27-year-old has gone on to have success as a reality TV star, winning the 2009 Dancing On Ice programme and also the 2014 ‘All Star’s series of the popular ITV show. The former Brookside actor is now back in the music studio, recording new material for his upcoming album with an in-house team of song writers and producers based in London’s King Cross. Tickets for the event cost £21.50 and are available through the theatre’s website, at www.stgeorgestheatre.com, or in person at the theatre’s box office.

Any artists who would like to be in with a chance of performing in the show should send their information and a link to a live performance to lucy.hilbert@markerandmarker.com.
