There are lots of activities going on this Easter for the children to take part in - and here are just some of them.

A Gorleston church is holding its first ever Easter egg hunt and hopes youngsters will join in the fun.

St Mary Magdalene Church, on the Magdalen Square, is inviting families to enjoy its community Easter egg hunt on Easter Saturday, March 31.

Residents will be able to pick up a trail guide from the church between 2pm and 3pm. They can then follow the trail around the estate and solve the clues, before returning to the church to collect their prize.

Youngsters have the opportunity to create their own Easter hat – and then have the chance to win a shopping voucher.

For the Easter holiday half term, Market Gates Shopping Centre in Great Yarmouth has free entertainment for children to enjoy.

On Good Friday, March 30, between 11am and 3pm, young budding milliners can create their own Easter hat and then pose for the Easter Parade album on the centre’s Facebook page.

Visitors are invited to ‘like’ their favourite and the most popular will win a £25 gift voucher to spend in the shopping centre.

On Thursday, April 5, children can enjoy sleight of hand magic and comedy capers with Steve Majes – the Tricky Twister.

Finally, on Thursday, April 12, and with a stack of colourful hoops and funky tunes, Angie will demonstrate the art of hula hooping at 11.30am and 3pm and she gets the youngsters gyrating and learning the skill at a workshop at 1pm.

Parents can take their children to a series of fun, free workshops at Pets at Home at Yarmouth this Easter.

Youngsters can get up close and personal and learn some fun facts about small furry animals, including rabbits.

The workshops will run alongside Pets at Home’s decision to stop the sale and adoption of rabbits at all of its stores over the Easter bank holiday. The free workshops are designed to educate and inform future pet owners on responsible pet ownership.

The store team will share their knowledge and talk about the welfare needs of small furry animals.

The My Pet Pals Easter activity club is until April 15. Visit
