A “secret” garden is supporting a palliative care centre with an open day on Sunday.
The Bishop’s Garden in Norwich is hosting a summer open afternoon on a 1940’s theme in aid of Palliative Care East the charity behind the Louise Hamilton Centre in the grounds of the James Paget University Hospital.
The event runs from 1-5pm with cakes, a treasure trail, stalls, music, and flower demonstrations.
Stephen and Paul Mayer aka Full House will play three sets of 1940’s numbers.
In addition there will be two flower demonstrations from Julia Knights, again with a nod to the wartime era. The Peregrine Trust will be on hand with telescopes so visitors can view the birds at the cathedral.
Refreshments will also be available and will be served to you by the charity volunteers.
Entry is £4. The nearest parking is at the Adam and Eve pub.
The historic four-acre formal city centre garden has belonged to the Bishops of Norwich for over 900 years
