THE annual Great Yarmouth Easter Fair will be taking place from Thursday, starting at 5pm, until Saturday, April 30, in Church Plain. It will include opening hours of 11am until 11pm on Friday, April 29 - the day of the Royal Wedding.
Tomorrow is St George’s Day and celebrations get underway at the Lichfield Arms, Southtown, with a full English breakfast at 11am.
With spring well and truly on the way, enjoy a idyllic guided stroll around Fritton Lake and its woodlands on Sunday. Join warden Stuart Burgess on this two-mile walk, £2 for adults, £1 children/concessions, 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Call 01493 488288 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
DPA Cabaret Troupe performs on Monday at Eastern Beach Holiday Park, Caister, at 7.30pm. Help raise funds for The Big 10! auction and raffle on the night. Free entry.
A burlesque Ladies’ Night takes place on Thursday at The Family Den Café in Great Yarmouth. The night will provide an opportunity for women to learn a few of the moves during a workshop, and there will be a glass of wine on arrival and a buffet. A QUIZ at Great Yarmouth’s Masonic Rooms will benefit Cancer Research UK. It’s from 7.30pm on Friday, May 6 and is organised by the Relay for Life team Tooty Frooty, with teams of up to six people (minimum four) and tickets are £5. Call 01493 745636.
PUPPET mania will be coming to Gorleston this summer with a workshop and musical. On May 14, St Andrew’s Church Chapter House will host a puppet training day held by One Way UK (Puppet Ministry). From 10am to 4pm those involved will be taught to operate puppets, with tickets at £13 per person and £17.50 after May 1. Call 01472 241068.
