IT'S back to the Sixties at the White Hart, Hopton on Sea - recently under the new management of Claire and Dean - tonight, at 9pm. Dress in 1960s style, Mary Quant, The Beatles or Twiggy, or just go along as you are for an evening of music and nostalgia with Out of the Ashes performing all the best loved music from the decade.

A full choir will be gracing Great Yarmouth's St Nicholas Church later this month thanks to The Chorus of St Cecilia.

On Friday, September 24 at 7.30pm the gala autumn concert will include the full and junior choir, conducted by Matthew Hardy with Great Yarmouth Brass and conducted by Colin Swaep.

Popular guest performers will be Nicholas Ransley as tenor and Hannah Long as soprano.

They will be performing operatic arias, as well as This Is My Beloved from Borodin's Kismet.

Tickets for the event are now available from Allen's Music Centre in Great Yarmouth, The Dance Shop on Gorleston High Street or on the door. Contact 01502 733625.

The Norfolk Broads Concert Band are helping Winterton Parish Church to raise funds to restore the church tower.

A Last Night of the Proms Concert will be held at the Hermanus Holiday Centre in Winterton on Sea, on Friday, October 1 at 7.30 pm.

With Mark Humphries acting as compere and Sheila West the lead singer, organisers said: “Join in the fun and be prepared to join in with the singing. It may not be the Royal Albert Hall but it's a close second.”

Classic rock covers band Stealer are to play The Dock Tavern, Gorleston tomorrow.

The band play songs from bands including Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Jimi Hendrix and Toto.

All are welcome and the gig kicks off around 9pm. You can find the band on Facebook by searching for Friends of Stealer.

Sanctus Quay play the Belle Vue, Gorleston, tonight from 9pm. Get ready for a full-on rock night with original music and covers done in the Sanctas Quay style.
