SUNDAY sees the final performances of three Christmas pantomimes in Gorleston, Lowestoft and Bungay.

There is still time to catch the shows, but you will have to be quick, Aladdin at Gorleston Pavilion stars Helen McDermott as the Slave of the Ring. The story of old Peking comes to life with Panto dame Mark Hudson As Widow Twankey together with a talented young cast including Lisa Hunter as Aladdin, Shani Cantor as Princess Jasmine and Thomas Howes as Wishee Washee. Attracting the boos and hisses is the baddie Abanazer excellently played by Nick Murray Brown. Also appearing are the girls of the June Glennie School of Dance.

Over at the Marina Theatre, Lowestoft, Ken Farrington is playing Captain Hook in Peter Pan. The 72 year old actor who has had lead roles in ITV's Emmerdale and Coronation Street is a much respected stage actor. He stars alongside Jamie Rickers and Sarah Jane Buckley in the theatre's first professional pantomime in 50 years. Great Yarmouth's summer pantomime team is starring in Jack and the Beanstalk at the Fisher Theatre, Bungay. Gavin Dean as Simple Simon and Steve Ace as Dame Trott who recently performed a summer season on Yarmouth's Golden Mile both star in the panto. Steve Ace has been one of East Anglia's premiere dames for over a decade and was resident dame at Pleasurewood Hills during its height as one of most visited attractions in the UK. Pantomime legend Mike Wallis takes the part of the villainous Fleshcreep.
