Rawkas said the standard of singers who auditioned was very high and the band thank everyone who showed an interest in joining. A Rawkas spokesman said: “After hearing Chris sing just one song however, it was pretty apparent the band had found the right man for the job. Chris brings with him a powerful voice and strong stage presence along with several years gigging experience.”

For the first chance to see the new line up, Rawkas will be playing at the Flying Dutchman in Oulton Broad on Saturday. The band will be playing all the favourite rock covers with a few new songs. Rawkas are Phil Murphy (guitar), Gary Durrant (guitar), Painy (bass guitar/backing vocals), Stuart Robertson (drums/backing vocals), Chris Wright (lead vocals). The show kicks off at 9pm and entry is free.
