Honk! brings ‘a poultry tale’ to Gorleston stage for Easter family fun

Gorleston Theatre Company will be going totally quackers this Easter when it stages the family musical Honk!

Based on the Hans Christian Anderson tale of the Ugly Duckling the GTC production at Gorleston Pavilion will feature a cast of 30 performers.

Director Jeannie Kinkaird said: “We chose it because it is different, a good family show and ideal for our Easter slot. It’s got exuberant music and a stream of hilarious characters.” She also revealed the group had been very lucky to secure the rights to put on the musical which was first written for the National Theatre, adding: “We managed to get the licence before a revival was planned in London to celebrate 20 years since it was first produced.” The Gorleston version will be staged at the same time as the West End version. Honk! runs from April 12-15.
