The East Norfolk Operatic Society presents the comic opera Patience at The Maddermarket Theatre, Norwich from Wednesday, May 9-12.

Patience, by Gilbert and Sullivan, is the duo’s comic opera lampooning the Aesthetic Movement of the 1880s, with fleshly poets, lovesick maidens, an earthy milkmaid and burly dragoons galore.

With some of Sullivan’s finest music and Gilbert at his most satirical, this is a rare treat to enjoy at the Maddermarket.

Performances are at 7.30pm each evening with a matinee show on May 12 at 2.30pm.

Tickets are £14. Students seats are available for the Friday evening performance at a reduced price of £10.

The East Norfolk Operatic Society was formed in 1959 based in Wroxham.

To reserve a seat, contact the theatre box office 01603 620917 or online www.maddermarket.co.uk
