IT WILL be thrills and spills as the Moscow State Circus comes to the big-top at Great Yarmouth Racecourse next week with a brand new show for 2008.

Among the breathtaking feats this year will be a wife firing a crossbow William-Tell style taking an apple off her husband's head.

Spokesman Peter Norris said: “The show has 35 of Russia's greatest and most flexible circus performers who have never been seen in this country before. Many of the acts will be pushing the boundaries of human physical ingenuity.”

He said the newly devised show includes the Puzanovs' springboard troupe who will be catapulting themselves across the stage. Also included are the flying trapeze troupe, Dzhusoevs, illusionists Khil and Spira and the death defying crossbow act performed by the husband and wife team, Pazpazor.

Mr Norris said: “For the first time, the world's greatest and most daring circus performers will be combining to present the most spectacular circus on earth.”

The circus can be seen from Wednesday until Monday March 31. Performances can be seen at the following times; Wednesday to Saturday 3pm and 7.45pm; Sunday 3pm and 6pm, Monday 2pm and 5pm.
