SUNDAY sees the ever popular Wood and the Wire at The Albion in Gorleston. The evening starts at 8pm and we welcome musicians, poets and songwriters both old and new.
SUNDAY sees the ever popular Wood and the Wire at The Albion in Gorleston. The evening starts at 8pm and we welcome musicians, poets and songwriters both old and new. With musical styles from Punk to Jazz and Rock to Folk and all points in between. The evening is open anyone who cares to pop along and listen to an eclectic mix of music and verse, not forgetting the charity raffle, all proceeds going to a local childrens' hospice. As always the evening is a totally unplugged, no amplification or electrification allowed.
Maxwell and Murphy guitar duo are playing at the Golfer Arms in Great Yarmouth tonight from 9pm, tomorrow at The Carlton, Pakefield from 8pm and Sunday at the Chequers Inn, Bungay from 9pm.
They play Rock and Indie music such as songs by Kings of Leon, Oasis, U2, Bon Jovi, Joe Satriani, Snow Patrol and they have added more new songs to their set. A LEADING young British violinist will be performing with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra at Great Yarmouth's Hippodrome next month.
Charlie Siem has an easy style which belies a virtuosity that has already catapulted him onto the international stage.
This fast rising star has performed variously at the Carnegie Hall in New York City, onstage in Cuba with the Royal Ballet and onstage with Bryan Adams
The orchestra and Charlie will be at the Hippodrome on February 4.

THE latest Club Uniquity music night takes place at the Dukes Head, Somerleyton tomorrow from 8pm.
Performers include John Ward, Mario Price, The Harpoon Blues Band and Llewelyn plus guests.
Entrance is £5 with all proceeds from the evening donated to St Raphael's hospice.
A SKA and Two Tone disco will be held at the Green Gate Inn in Caister High Street tonight.
The disco starts at 8pm, offering retro music featuring vinyl, Ska and Two Tone records from the 60's and 70's.
ROCK and American punk covers band Cuttin' Edge will be kicking off a new music night in Gorleston next Friday.
Friday Night Live will be taking place at the dance hall of the Burrage Centre, James Paget University Hospital, from 7.30pm.
Entry will be free and Cuttin' Edge will be playing tracks from the likes of Green Day, Oasis, Billy Idol, Good Charlotte and The Offspring.
THE AGM of Great Yarmouth Keyboard Music Club is at the Masonic Rooms (opposite the Wellington Pier, Yarmouth) on Wednesday at 7.30pm for 7.45pm.
All current members and prospective new members are encouraged to attend this important meeting in the history of the club.

BIG Band The Syd Lawrence Orchestra will be performing at the Marina Theatre in Lowestoft on January 26.
The orchestra will play music by Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Billy May, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald.
