Rehearsals are well in hand for the Christmas concert on December 11 at the King’s Centre to raise funds for Children with Cancer.

The concert will bring together local baritone Simon Lawlor who sang at the Gorleston light’s switch-on and also Jack Ollett, the professional tenor who been singing in Europe.

As well as solo performances, they will sing the well loved O Holy Night as a duo. Add to this the quality voice of Soprano Rebecca Bentley, singing from Casenova’s Nun’s Chorus and the Young People’s Choir of Mary Hardy-Green singing their own mix of Christmas carols, together with other soloists, making for an evening of enjoyable Christmas music.

Organisers say there will be plenty of audience participation with the lovely old Christmas songs that help to make this time of the year magical. The Concert will be ably accompanied by Sylvia Kishan.

The concert starts at 7.30pm, with the doors opening at 7pm. There is plenty of free parking.

All proceeds will go to the Children with Cancer Fund.

Tickets are available from Allen’s Music Shop, Market Gates. £6 with £5 concessions, or reservation of tickets 01493 844399. Seasonal refreshments included.
