Hailing from Minneapolis, O'Neal is said to have the same vocal range as Otis Redding. Over the past 30 years he has achieved a string of hit singles and albums selling in excess of 15 million copies worldwide.

His biggest hits - including Saturday Love, Fake, Criticize - set a new benchmark in soul classics which stand the test of time even today.

This highly distinguished and distinctive Minneapolis based vocalist, was born on November 15, 1953 in Natchez, Mississippi.

During the 70s O'Neal put together his own band and by constant touring of the live circuit in the States, developed his obvious vocal talents.

The early 80s saw O'Neal begin his solo career as a vocalist, making his first recordings.

In 1987, O'Neal's second album Hearsay, which featured major club anthems Fake and Criticise, came out - selling over 700,000 copies in the UK alone.

O'Neal's popularity in the UK has been constantly reiterated with numerous sell out tours (including Princes Trust Concert) and a BBC TV special. All his six albums have charted both in the UK and the USA.

He continues to entertain his UK Fans with his annual tour and has recently made guest appearances on BBC1's Just The Two Of Us and The Weakest Link.

Next month, there's a treat for O'Neal fans with a special one-night only live performance at The Arena on Great Yarmouth's seafront. The Friday, March 7 concert is a must for devotees of this talented singer.
