NORWICH Pops Orchestra stage a Halloween concert for children and adults in the atmospheric surroundings of The Hippodrome on Sunday, November 1, at 3pm.

NORWICH Pops Orchestra stage a Halloween concert for children and adults in the atmospheric surroundings of The Hippodrome on Sunday, November 1, at 3pm.

The 60-piece symphony orchestra will play a mixture of classical pieces and music from the shows inspired by dark and sinister legends, prefaced by an informative introduction to the performances.

Danse Macabre has dancing skeletons, Night on a Bare Mountain features a witches gathering, the Harry Potter Suite portrays the young wizard and The Sorcerer's Apprentice magic going badly wrong.

Interweaved with these classical masterpieces will be some of the biggest hits from Broadway and the West End.

Wicked has been one of the most successful musicals of the last 20 years, and The Phantom of the Opera, by the incomparable Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The orchestra will perform numbers from each musical, featuring compére and professional singer - Sarah Pryde.
