Shanty singers, the Mollyhawks, will be performing at Yarmouth Minster on Sunday, August 16 at 2.30pm. Tickets are £6 which includes a cuppa and a slice of cake and are available on the door. They have sung at folk and maritime festivals, various yacht clubs and even as shanty “men” on board tall ships across Europe. As a duo they perform largely acapella sea songs with a sprinkling of shanties.
This Sunday, August 16, the Greyhound Homefinders kennels in Hainford are hosting a Summer Open Day from 11am until 3pm. Refreshments, barbecue and a variety of stalls are available for everyone to enjoy, and there will be a chance to meet other greyhound owners to share stories or to get advice.
With 15 greyhounds currently available for homing, visitors will be spoilt for choice, whether it’s just to meet and walk the dogs or to welcome one into their family.
