THE Grosvenor Casino in Great Yarmouth is gearing up for a busy month.

On June 19, the venue will host its Charity Outdoor Fashion Show and Cocktail Party in association with Junx Clothing and Saks Hair and Beauty.

On June 19, the venue will host its Charity Outdoor Fashion Show and Cocktail Party in association with Junx Clothing and Saks Hair and Beauty.

The event, in aid of Palliative Care East, starts at 7pm with £1 from every cocktail sold going to charity. Split into three stages, Ibiza Rocks, Eighties Retro and Evening Elegance, the show will showcase the latest fashion trends and is free to attend.

Membership to the casino is free and ID is required on your first visit.

Then on June 20 the casino will host its annual summer garden party from 7.30pm.

The formal black tie evening will feature a barbeque, professional photographer and live entertainment from Rachel King.

-Lound Festival weekend is being held from June 26 to 28. There will be a flower festival in the church from 10am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the theme “The Psalms”, craft stalls and refreshments in the village hall on the Saturday and Sunday.

A communion service will be held to commemorate the birth of St John the Baptist (the patron saint) on the Friday at 7.30pm.

The cubs take part in a five-a-side football tournament for youngsters on the village green on the Saturday between 2.30 and 4pm.

And there is music for a summer's evening in the church on Saturday at 7.30pm with the Waveney Brass Ensemble - all rounded off with a festival evensong in church on Sunday at 6.30 pm.

Lound is off the A12 midway between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.

-Fundraisers are hoping guests will be pouring out the contents of their pockets to raise money for charity Marie Curie Cancer Care at a tea morning. The event will be taking place at Group Homes in Grove Close, Martham on June 16 and there will be cream teas, a raffle and a quiz between 2pm and 4pm.

-It's famous for its top class shows and this summer there is a chance for young visitors to tread the boards at Potters Leisure Resort. Classes are available with resident choreographer Paula Knapman for (juniors 6-11 and seniors 12+) offering seven hours expert tuition leading to a final night performance in front of friends, family and other holidaymakers.

There are only 20 places available for each age group on each midweek break during the summer and course costs £40, which includes an exclusive theatre school t-shirt.

-The Great Yarmouth and Gorleston support branch for Action for Children will host a fundraising event on June 13 at Ranworth Broad. Step Out for Children is a five-mile sponsored walk which starts at 10.30am in Ranworth Broad car park. The event will also include boat rides and the chance to climb to the top of Ranworth church tower.
