Gorleston Theatre Company has won the certificate for best musical for 2017 at National Operatic and Dramatic Association District 6 awards.

It also won the best production shield.

The awards were made by the NODA national president at the NODA East Gala Awards and Lunch on Sunday May 13 for its production of Me and My Girl at the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston.

The production played to full houses November 8 to 11 and was well received by audiences.

A spokesman for the company said: “It is fantastic to receive these awards in recognition for all the hard work, energy, enthusiasm and commitment that went into this production.

“It was a real team effort and all involved really enjoyed being part of it and part of its success.”

The next production is the Emlyn Williams’ play Trespass at the Pavilion Theatre on October 19 and 20.
