AN ACCOMPLISHED keyboard player and organist will make a special appearance at the Royal Masonic Rooms in Great Yarmouth this month.

Mark Thompson is the hotly anticipated guest for the Great Yarmouth Keyboard Music Club at their August concert. The club is excited to host Mark, who has played keyboard since the age of seven and has been principal organist for past performances such as Handel's The Messiah.

This concert, which is on Wednesday at 7.30pm, will see Mark devoting his talents to Popular Music of the Modern Age and Music from the Musicals which the club hopes will cater for everyone's taste. Admission for the event will be £6 for visitors and £5 for members.

The club prides itself on their monthly concerts and in September they will welcome David Thomas to the James Paget Burrage Centre. David is a well-known entertainer and national demonstrator of Roland electronic organs and keyboards. His concert, complete with full screen video display and hi-tech Roland sound system, will showcase his talents.

Ken Renshaw, the club's chairman, said they felt “very lucky to have secured his services.”

The David Thomas Magic Music Show is on September 15 at 7.30pm. Further details from 01502 563910.
