THANK you to the people who found our missing cat Sooty, reported in The Mercury on December 31. I did not get the name of the people as we were so happy to see Sooty again.

THANK you to the people who found our missing cat Sooty, reported in The Mercury on December 31. I did not get the name of the people as we were so happy to see Sooty again. He was found by a couple and looked after in all the snow and was taken in to Haven vets who were brilliant as they contacted me straight away. He is now home and safe and my daughters are so thankful to you all at The Mercury, the couple who found him and Haven Vets.

ON December 30, I was taken ill very suddenly in the restaurant of Palmers department store. i was unable to move but the staff ensured I was given privacy and they showed such kindness and care. I would particularly like to thank Hannah, Julie and Donna and the catering staff for their attention. It certainly restores one's faith in human nature and Palmers should be proud that they employ such lovely people. I would also like to thank the paramedic, ambulance staff and the doctor at the James Paget Hospital who I can only describe as "delightful." I am now feeling much better.
