A new landlord is behind the bar of a Caister pub until at least early next year.
The Gate on Caister High Street has reopened under the helm of publican Aaron Huggins.
Mr Huggins said he is in control of the village local until at least January, while it is decided what is next for the venue.
Over the past eleven months, The Gate has seen three landlords behind the bar and was boarded up for several months at the start of 2023.
Mr Huggins, who is also part-owner of the Windmill in Cobholm, began at the pub last Friday with live music from Alex Asher, who will be returning this Friday.
"The past few years has been very stop-start for The Gate," said Mr Huggins.
"And we've shook hands with the owners until the new year rather than it sitting empty.
"All the locals have said they're grateful we've kept it open, and we're going to crack on with it."
The Gate trialled chicken wings for customers on Wednesday and 600 were reportedly sold.
A full menu of pub food returns tonight (Thursday) and Mr Huggins said it has already sold out.
"It's been a great start," said Mr Huggins.
"It's great to be here in Caister and we really want people to come on down and enjoy themselves over a drink, some food and some quality entertainment."
The pub's new management was met with positive comments online, with one person posting on Facebook: "Blimey. The Gate was open and buzzing last night. Nice to see some life in the place."
The Gate will be hosting live music every Friday and Saturday night. Mr Huggins and the team are currently planning events to host at Halloween and Christmas.
