A handy new corner shop has opened in a residential area of Great Yarmouth.
Mervin's Great Yarmouth has opened on Hamilton Road, Newtown, inside the former Norfolk Preserves shop.
With a licence to sell alcohol, the shop also sells bread, milk and cleaning items.
Owner Mervin Arulanantham - who also owns shops in Hellesdon and Cromer - said his new shop's location was "like a homecoming".

"So I know the town very well, and it is great to be back in the area. I love Great Yarmouth."
Work on the shop's interior took around six weeks to carry out. (Image: James Weeds)Mr Arulanantham took over the retail unit at the beginning of the year after Norfolk Preserves' owner David Channell decided to scale back his operation to a delivery-based service.
The independent shop, which has seen extensive renovations on the inside, took around six weeks to transform.
