A much-loved bar in the heart of Great Yarmouth is set for a grand re-opening this bank holiday weekend.
New landlords have announced their takeover of Peggotty's on King Street. The popular town centre venue will reopen its doors for the long weekend beginning this Friday at 6pm.
As well as new managers, the bar also has a new Facebook page which is promoting events for this weekend, including Funky Friday, Shake It Off Saturday and a Suave Sunday cocktail night.
The announcement comes as the venue (which was also known as Luck, Lust, Liquor and Grinds) suddenly closed its doors at the end of last year. Appeals had been made a change of licensing hours following reports of continued incidents of crime, disorder and safety concerns for vulnerable women.

Great Yarmouth DJ Charlie Ford said on his Facebook page: "Absolutely buzzing to announce Peggotty’s is reopening.
"I’m so proud of my best pal Ishan Patel who is the new owner.
"I cannot wait to see all your lovely familiar faces old and new."
It is reported the pub will soon be opening seven days a week with live entertainment.
